Celebrating 2012 Chinese New Year At Haas

As one of important Haas traditions, on Jan 27, 2012, only five days after the official Chinese New Year, Haas students launched their own Chinese New Year celebration party at the Bank of America forum.

The Asia Business Club and students from Greater China region co-developed this fun party, bringing delicious Chinese food and fantastic performances to the Haas community. Here are some of the fun moments from the event!

Thumbs-up to Chinese food – free, yummy, and it runs out really fast…

Lion dance show, there is no way to miss this! Look, audience on the roof!

Zither (Guzheng) – traditional Chinese musical instrument. Experience the Chinese musical history back to 400 BC.

Kung-fu, not panda, but Haas bears! Led by master Chao Zhang, a Haas MBA first year Chinese student, who has studied Chinese Kungfu for more than ten years! The Haas Bear Kungfu team gave the community an amazing Kungfu show, including defend demo, two-section stick, etc. Thanks for the whole team’s dedication (Sherry Chen, Moti Sorkin, Kenny Lu, Bundit Prad, Joseph Chen, Daniel Lee, and Jane Wong)!

Last but not least, we look forward to sharing more Chinese New Year fun stuff with you in 2013 spring! Come and join us! Gong Hay Fat Choy!
