EWMBA - Habitat for Humanity

Over the summer, many of the EWMBA'ers have used the break to catch up on other aspects of life. Many people have taken well-earned vacations, there have been several happy hours and EWMBA parties, and on August 9th - a group of EWMBA students used some of their free time to give back to the community. About a dozen students volunteered at the Habitat for Humanity housing construction site in Redwood City.

We were involved in various tasks from working on the roof, to fire-taping garages and dry-walling internals of the houses. Everyone enjoyed getting outdoors and learning some new construction skills, as well as having the opportunity to meet up with fellow EWMBA students in a relaxed setting. It was nice to discuss what classes everyone is taking, the changes at Haas over the summer, and how everyone spent their break from classes.

The EWMBA Community Service committee organizes several community volunteer events throughout the year, which give Haas students the chance to give back to the community while interacting with their fellow students.

Meanwhile, everyone is gearing up for the start of the Fall semester - the first years must be into it already! Look forward to seeing y'all back on campus next week. I think I'm fully rested and ready!

Cheers
