Last weekend I participated in a joint outing to Napa sponsored by two student-run organizations: the Haas Wine Club and the Berkeley Energy Resources Collaborative (BERC). We went up to Napa to go on tours of two wineries attempting to make their operations more green. Cade Winery, to my knowledge, is the first LEED-certified winery in Napa, and while it's currently making wine, I think the facility opens to the public early next year. Peju Winery has been making wine for over 25 years, and gets a lot of its power from solar energy. Oh, and the wines at both were very good!
